Hard to ❤ Talk

There are 3 guys in my LG who are enlisting this week. I prepared a set of devotions from the Book "Revealing Jesus by Darlene Zschech", and also a written card and gutter(for Boots) for them.

I was especially keen to pass the devotions to my sheep David because it just so happened that the first 3 days (May 6-8) of the devotions from which he enlists are all about David and how he look to God amidst difficulties and adversaries. However, yesterday when I was about to reach Pasir Ris to pass it to him, the shuttle bus to Tekong arrived much earlier and he had to board the bus first. I've learned my lesson to make more buffer time especially for important occasions like this :( The other 2 from my LG enlisted this morning and I reached early enough to pass it to them :)

And this post is not called Hard to ❤ Talk because I wrote them cards for things I didn't say verbally. It was because the NS Ministry started this amazing initiative to bless enlisting recruits and their families. For the project, we have props, such as a cardboard SAR-21 and conversation bubbles. Recruits and their families can write messages to each other on the bubbles, that they might find awkward to say directly, like I love you Mummy. Then they can take a photo with the props and even keep a printed copy of the photo, which the recruit can bring as he goes Tekong.

The initiative is from Tuesday to Thursday, but today a staff from LTA told us off saying that we had to register the activity (be it flag day or blood donation) before we can carry it out in the area. I only just joined in to help today and I am blessed through it. Although there were reluctant families, there are families who really appreciated the initiative and when they found out we were from Hope Church, some mothers even urge their sons that it might be good to join us :)

While I'm still on MC from my surgery till this Friday, I heard from my section that there is a new NSF joining the section. His name is Elisha, and he is PES E because he is autistic. As his name is Elisha, he should be 99.9% Christian. And well, previously there was another NSF whom the section found frustrating to work with as he is autistic with lower IQ and was supposedly PES F. And not to forget, I was autistic when I was young. So, I pray that I can bless him and guide him along patiently with God's love. And even if he may be limited by autism, I pray that we can both bring more of God's love to the section as I won't be the only Christian there now.

I've also started on this Marketing Course on Coursera 3 weeks ago. It's really interesting and good. It significantly increased my awareness and knowledge on things like good branding, shopper marketing, packaging and more. I believe that marketing is a calling for me, and I plan to go into it more when I study Business Administration in SMU. I also hope to contribute to my mum's StarArk business, future enterprises and the Church through it :)
